We believe in value billing and like to negotiate a flat fee arrangement with you. In the alternative, our hourly rate is $185.

There are a number of research lawyers on staff so a fast turnaround can usually be arranged. Bottom Line Research does not charge a premium in order to meet a tight deadline. A typical turnaround time from retainer to delivery of the research product is ten days to two weeks. The turnaround time for a written brief or factum is longer, and approximates three weeks to one month. Simple requests for a quick search and reporting email with cases can be readily accommodated, overnight if necessary.

We ask for payment within 30 days of invoice. A retainer may be requested.

In most cases we like to email you an electronic copy of the research product in Word and PDF and link to the authorities in the document, as well as email the authorities by way of attachment. We are happy to meet your needs as to product delivery format.
What about confidentiality?

Bottom Line maintains a computerized conflicts database. A conflicts check is conducted before the assignment is discussed and any potential conflicts are disclosed to you immediately. In the event of a conflict Bottom Line will recommend another competent research lawyer to assist you.
